Jack and Jill of America has placed great emphasis on exposing our children to African culture , so much so that it has become an integral component within our National Cultural Programming Thrust. This National Building Block will provide a foundation of experiences and information to gain an appreciation of the richness, diversity and contributions of African-American culture to the United Sates and the world. We are making a conscious and concerted effort to educate our young children about the history of this fertile country. This event emphasized the Ugandan culture. Informational coloring sheets and an Ugandan drum was made by the attendees.
